Space Exploration Technologies Corp., known as SpaceX, is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. It was founded in 2002 by entrepreneur Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars. SpaceX operates from many pads, on the East Coast of the US they operate from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and historic LC-39A at Kennedy Space Center. They also operate from SLC-4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, usually for polar launches. Another launch site is being developed at Boca Chica, Texas.
First mission of the privately funded Polaris program. The goal of this mission, lasting up to five days in orbit, is to fly higher than previous Dragon missions, perform the first-ever commercial EVA with SpaceX-designed spacesuits, orbit through portions of the Van Allen radiation belt, conduct medical research, and test laser-based Starlink communications in space.

Adding Polaris Dawn, the first mission of the privately-funded Polaris program.
The Polaris program is a private spaceflight program organized by entrepreneur Jared Isaacman.
T?
The Crew Dragon for Polaris Dawn will splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, bringing its crew back to Earth after spending 5 days in orbit.
T?
At approximately 700 kilometers above the Earth, the crew will attempt the first-ever commercial extravehicular activity (EVA) with SpaceX-designed extravehicular activity (EVA) spacesuits, upgraded from the current intravehicular (IVA) suit. Building a base on the Moon and a city on Mars will require thousands of spacesuits; the development of this suit and the execution of the EVA will be important steps toward a scalable design for spacesuits on future long-duration missions.
T?
SpaceX will perform a test firing of its Falcon 9 rocket at launch pad 39A ahead of the launch of Polaris Dawn.
T?
The Polaris Dawn crew and SpaceX will hold a mission overview briefing live from Florida on X.
T?
The Crew of Polaris Dawn will discuss the EVA Spacesuit.
